SSD_demo
Looking
for a no frills, inexpensive and easy to use spectral delay
application?
That's SSD - a 'simple spectral delay' unit.

SSD_demo.app.sit (for Mac OS 10 - 1.3MB)
You may download the SSD_demo version
for free. Each time you open the demo version it will run for 6
minutes. If you'd like a full version of SSD please contact me.
Radio Slicer5
In this version there are two little windows to display audio file
names and file number as they're playing, some extra VU meters and a
reverb side chain for live audio input.
Radio Slicer5 is a standalone Max/MSP application for Mac OS 10.4.x
(also Intel). The application does a random cross fade and
spectral processing between two audio sources. The audio sources may be
live on both or separate channels. Audio files may also be played from
the hard drive of your computer. In
multi playback mode it is possible to play up to four audio files per
channel
back to back. Put some spoken word in there and create dada radio!
I'd like to thank Eric Lyon for the FFTease
externals, disarray~, pvgrain~ and thresher~ and Olaf Matthes for the
monoverb~ external.
Enjoy!

In a Bag_demo
'In a Bag' is a user interactive random text generator based on the
'found poem'technique used by dadaist and surrealist artists.
You no longer need to cut out words and phrases from newspapers and
magazines toss them in a bag, gently shake and then write them all out
one by one
as you remove them from the bag. 'In a Bag' takes plain text (simple
text) files of any length and randomly reorganizes them line for line.
The
possibilities are endless. If you're looking for a tool for finding
unique word
combinations or expressive images for your lyrics and poems then check
out 'In a Bag'. In a Bag is a Max/MSP standalone application for Mac
OS10.4.x. (also Intel).
In a Bag_demo does not include random text rotation or the text saving functions.
If you'd like a full version of In a
Bag please contact me using the form
at the bottom of this page.
You may download this demo version for free.

Spawn
Spawn01 takes a live or audio file input and it is convoluted (multiplied) with a
second signal. The result gets passed on to a delay with
feedback and reverb unit. I started this originally to create instant
input based backgrounds for spoken word, but it works with any kind of
input. If you like what you're hearing it may be recorded to your
hard disk in realtime.
Spawn is Max/MSP standalone application for Mac OS10.4.x (also Universal Binary)
You may download this demo version for free.

Sooner or Later v1 - Score for Improvisation
Sooner or Later v1 is a computer generated 'score' for improvisation. It comes in two flavors with and without (v1) audio processing.
There are two types of verbal instruction in the score one is determinate and the other indeterminate.
Simple, straight forward and sooner or later it all happens.
